After inheriting a diamond mining company, a man from a European country makes it his life mission to find the biggest diamond in the world. Through a newly developed piece of technology, his search is directed to Botswana where he strikes a deal to excavate in a sacred area. After several warnings from Basarwa, the man proceeds with the diamond hunt and excavates to great depths. Suddenly, the ancient being, Matsieng, emerges from the hole and discovers what humans have done to the earth since his last appearance. Displeased beyond belief, he believes the only way to save the earth is to end humanity. A group of university students hatch a plan to save their country and to save the world.
