We welcome original manuscripts with strong storytelling, clear purpose and the potential to connect with readers. Every submission is assessed according to its literary quality, originality, cultural relevance, intended audience and commercial potential.
Before You Submit
Underpound Publishing follows a selective traditional publishing model. Submitting a manuscript does not guarantee publication.
Manuscripts that pass our initial assessment may undergo further editorial and commercial review before a publishing decision is made. If we wish to publish your work, you will receive a formal publishing offer and an agreement explaining the rights, royalties, responsibilities and other terms of the partnership.
No submission or publishing fees
Underpound Publishing does not charge authors to submit manuscripts.
Authors selected under our traditional publishing programme are not required to purchase editing, design, printing, marketing or distribution packages. Underpound covers the agreed costs of developing and publishing an acquired manuscript, subject to the terms of the publishing agreement.
We will never make the purchase of an author service a condition for receiving a traditional publishing contract.
